Acupuncture Injection Therapy

Acupuncture Injection Therapy (AIT) is a gentle modality that works with the body dynamics in order to achieve an optimal state of health. AIT involves gently inserting thin, hypodermic needles to release tender areas sometimes referred as trigger points. It’s a proven integrative therapy that blends the best of Chinese herbal medicine with the use of sterilized plant extracts, and also naturopathic and homeopathic medicine compounds. These are sometimes combined with a local anesthetic medicine (i.e. procaine). The compounds can be combined in cocktails to help with more than one symptom at the same time.

AIT is very useful for acute sprains and strains and is ideal for chronic conditions that have failed to respond to conventional treatment methods. As an AIT-certified acupuncture physician I will painlessly inject natural therapeutic substances, such as traditional Chinese medicine and homeopathic remedies (i.e. Traumeel), or vitamins (i.e. B-12), into acupuncture points specific to your wellness needs.  These natural substances are easily absorbed in the body inducing a quick immune response.

By applying the biotherapeutics on acupuncture points, it is possible to stimulate and induce a highly synergistic effect, enhancing both the power of acupuncture and of biotherapeutic medicine. The slow absorption  of the medication at the site of injection will also allow for an extended stimulation benefit of the acupuncture point itself, sustaining the healing process and prompting the body to restore an optimal state of health. AIT prompts the body to engage in addressing the cause of pain and discomfort by expediting self-healing mechanisms.
